AION 2 SERVERS

Aion 2 Server Names

Worlds are named after the game world itself, but the list is regional and changes over time. Here is how to read it — and why it decides which names you can get.

Server names are region-specific and they move

Aion 2 worlds are named after places and concepts from the game world, and the line-up you see depends on your region and your platform. A region that launches with one set of worlds can expand it later, and populations that drop usually end up in a merge or a rename.

That is why this site does not publish a world list. Any list written on a fan page goes stale within a patch, and a stale list is worse than no list: it sends you to a world that no longer exists. The current, authoritative list is always inside your region official launcher or account page.

How your world decides which names you can use

Character names are unique per world, not per account. That single rule shapes everything else about picking a name, and it is the reason two players can hold the same name on two different worlds.

  • A short, popular name can be free on a quieter world and long gone on the busiest one.
  • The same name can exist on several worlds at once, held by different players.
  • A merge can create collisions, and the resolution is decided by the game, not by you.
  • If your region offers character transfers, the name you want may be taken at the destination too.

Choosing a world with naming in mind

  • Decide first whether you want the busiest world (easier groups, harder names) or a quieter one (easier names, smaller population).
  • Check the region and the main language of the world before you commit — a world pick is harder to undo than a name pick.
  • Prepare a ranked shortlist of three names for the world you actually intend to play on.
  • If you plan to play both factions, generate separate names: Elyos and Asmodian pools read very differently.
  • Keep one short name as a guaranteed fallback for a crowded launch day.

Are server-themed names a good idea?

Some players name a character after the world they play on, or borrow the theme of that world for their name. It reads well to people on the same server — and means nothing to anyone else.

  • It ages badly if your world is later merged or renamed.
  • It can look like a guild or staff tag if you push it too far.
  • A middle ground works better: keep the lore flavour, drop the literal world name.

Where to check the world list

  • Your region official Aion 2 site or launcher — the only authoritative source for the live list.
  • Your account page, if your region requires a world selection before character creation.
  • Community wikis for historical lists: useful for understanding past merges, never authoritative for what exists today.

Names to test on your world

Availability is decided per world, so test your candidates on the world you actually plan to play on instead of trusting a name that is popular somewhere else.
